Perez has suffered two consecutive fights but is a nine-year UFC veteran and former title challenger. In the last two years, Johngson has undergone a renaissance, winning five of his previous six fights. Johnson is 18-7 with 11 finishes, while Perez has a record of 25-10 with 13 wins by knockout or submission.

Charles Johnson to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Decision (+100)
Perez has struggled mightily lately, losing five of his previous six fights, with his last win coming in April 2024 against Matheus Nicolau. Meanwhile, two of Johnson’s last three wins have come by knockout against UFC Flyweight Champion Joshua Van and impressive prospect Lone’er Kavanagh.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Johnson is the favorite at -180, with Perez the underdog at +150. Although Perez hasn’t found a ton of success recently, it is still an excellent opportunity for Johnson to continue to work his way up the 125-pound rankings. In this fight, Johnson is the more advanced striker, averaging 0.57 more significant strikes per minute than Perez while being slightly more accurate (49% vs. 45%).
If Johnson can combat Perez’s takedown attempts, he will have an excellent chance to win this contest.
