Check out my best bet for tonight’s fight between Misael Rodriguez vs. Austin Deanda at Zuffa Boxing 01.
Misael Rodriguez by Decision or Technical Decision (-155)
Rodriguez has an elite boxing background, having won a Bronze Medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. But he has had a few breaks during his professional boxing career that have hindered his progression. Rodriguez was away from the sport for nearly three years, from September 2019 to July 2022, with another break from June 2023 to May 2025. Now, Rodriguez returns once again after a year away from the squared circle, as he last beat Omar Chavez in January 2025.
The 22-year-old Deanda has won 11 of his 17 bouts by knockout and beat Jessir Linton by seventh-round knockout. On BoxRec, Deanda is ranked 119th while Rodriguez is 90th in their Middleweight rankings. In this contest, Deanda is four inches taller (6’0″ vs. 5’8″), but Rodriguez still has the reach advantage (74″ vs. 72″).
On DraftKings Sportsbook, even though both fighters have a perfect record, Rodriguez is a massive -550 favorite with Deanda being the underdog at +380. The over/under is set at 8.5 rounds, with the over at -360. Rodriguez is +250 to win by knockout and -155 to win by decison or technical decison.
Even though Deanda has two more fights in his career, Rodriguez is currently the more advanced boxer. Since Rodriguez is such a big favorite to win this fight, the better way to back him is via decison or technical decison at -160. Rodriguez’s last three victories have come by decision, with five of his last eight coming by a win on the judges’ scorecards.
