BREAK IT DOWN:
(stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Amen Thompson 18+ Points (+108): So… When did Ime Udoka become Nick Nurse? The Rockets’ head coach has been pushing his starters hard in 2025-26, but none more so than Amen Thompson, who leads the Western Conference in minutes per game (37.3). Heck, Thompson’s logged over 40 minutes in four of Houston’s past seven contests, including 41.9 minutes in last night’s OT loss to the 76ers. Despite that incredible amount of volume, Thompson’s failed to clear this prop in four of his last five starts. At the end of the day, it’s difficult to be a consistent scorer in the modern NBA without a three-point shot, and the former fourth-overall pick has made just 16 threes for the season as a whole. Specific to tonight, Thompson and the Rockets will also be going up against the Pistons, who sport the East’s best defensive rating (108.4). It’s far from an ideal matchup.
Jordan Poole 3+ Three-Pointers Made (+142): I have to be completely honest. This bet being among the most-popular of the day was a little jarring. I did a legitimate double-take. I mean, Poole shot 4-for-17 (23.5%) in the Pelicans’ last game on Wednesday, a stat line that included the veteran guard missing all seven of his attempts from deep. It’s not like that performance was an aberration, either. If Poole had the games to qualify himself among the league leaders, his 37.3% field goal rate would be the worst in the NBA. Still, Poole is streaky. He can get hot from beyond the arc, and he’s actually hit at least three three-pointers in seven of his last 13 contests. Also, 61.8% of Poole’s shots in 2025-26 have been threes. He’s certainly not shy. You won’t lose this bet because Poole didn’t take enough shots — that’s for sure.
Devin Booker 5+ Rebounds (+148): Another interesting one, though there’s a reason these props are at plus-money. Booker isn’t exactly known for his rebounding prowess, averaging just 4.0 boards per game in 2025-26. In fact, the All-Star guard has hit this prop only once in his past eight starts. All that said, the Hawks will be a little undersized in the interior with Kristaps Porzingis (Achillies) sidelined, and for the season as a whole, Atlanta’s 48.1% rebounding rate is the fourth-lowest in the league. This is an opponent that can be exploited on the glass. The Hawks rank second in pace (103.2), as well, so Friday could simply be the perfect environment for all counting stats.
3-Pick Parlay
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
