This weekend’s Premier League slate gives us the reverse of Matchweek 1. Every game is a rematch from opening day, and this time, Tottenham will travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley.

The Spurs are +105 favorites to win on DraftKings Sportsbook, and Burnley is +265. There are +245 odds of a draw. Let’s get into a prediction and a pick for this Burnley-Tottenham game.

Burnley vs. Tottenham prediction, pick

Once again, Tottenham are having an extremely strange balance between domestic and continental play. Last year, the Spurs truly bottomed out by their standards, finishing 17th in the EPL table. Yet they also managed to pull through in the Europa League, winning their first major trophy in over 30 years. It was a huge moment for the club, and the hope is that they would carry that momentum into this season.

In a way, they have. With a 7-6-9 record, the Spurs are 14th in the Prem. Manager Thomas Frank is squarely on the hot seat as they navigate a brutal run of EPL form, winless in their last four domestic matches (plus a FA Cup loss to Aston Villa). Yet they continue to win in Europe, pulling out a 2-0 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund and taking control of their hopes for knockout-stage play. It’s a weird, weird team, to say the least.

Burnley don’t have much to hang their hat on. Having been relegated in their last two Premier League campaigns, they’ll have to fight hard to avoid a third. With 14 points through 22 games, manager Scott Parker needs to whip his team into shape if they want to save the season. Burnley are eight points from safety; now is the time to start stealing away some results.

It’s a good opportunity for them. Tottenham are on a bad run of form and dealing with key injuries to Mohammed Kudus, Richarlison, and Dejan Kulusevski. That’s a tough blow to their attacking potential. But I trust in their defense when called upon, especially in away matches. Dominic Solanke has stepped up when called upon, and I think the Spurs provide just enough attack to get this one over the line.

Best Bet: Tottenham Moneyline (+105)
