DraftKings NBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for 1/22/26

Updated:

By: Bill Yin

There will be eight games tonight, tipping off with the Rockets visiting the 76ers at 7 PM EST and concluding with the Heat visiting the Trail Blazers at 10 PM EST. We’ll also get to witness the Battle of LA at 10 PM EST, in which the Lakers and Clippers will clash at home.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.

Anthony Edwards More than 30.5 Points

Edwards is once again producing at an All-NBA and All-Star level with 29.9 PPG, which is a career-high mark so far. This 30.5 mark sits slightly above his average this season, but he’s been scorching hot lately, coming off a pair of big performances in which he put up a staggering 93 points in two games. He’s averaging 31.3 PPG over his last 10 games, which is basically this line even before you start baking in tonight’s matchup.

Chicago has been a scoreboard-friendly opponent all year, giving up 120 opponent PPG, the eighth worst mark across the NBA. If Minnesota keeps feeding Ant in the same high-volume role, which seems extremely likely given his talent and role on the team, 30.5 is a number he can simply run over.

Tyrese Maxey More Than 25.5 Points

Another day, another Tyrese Maxey More. Maxey’s at 30 PPG on the season and still leading the league in minutes (39.5 MPG), so this line feels too low despite going up against a tough defense in Houston tonight. Even against a difficult, pesky defense, Maxey doesn’t need an absolute ceiling game to hit 25.5., he just needs to put up many shots. And he’s not shy about it either, averaging 22.4 FGA per game, which is third in the league, trailing only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luka Doncic. Maxey’s attempted more than 22 field goals in three straight games.

The Rockets have been stingy overall by conceding 110.5 PPG, sixth lowest in the NBA, and they’ve held down guard scoring by position (17.5 PPG to PGs, 19.5 PPG to SGs). Despite this, Maxey’s volume and efficiency from beyond the arc are simply too hard to ignore; he’s just way better than most guards.

Ivica Zubac Less Than 10.5 Rebounds

Zubac sits at 10.8 RPG this season, so 10.5 is basically asking him to be himself. The issue is that his recent run been up to his standard: he’s averaging 9.1 RPG over his last 10 games, and 7.7 RPG over his last seven.

The Lakers are also conceding the fewest rebounds to opponents this season. They’re holding centers to 6.4 RPG this season, and they’re allowing just 48.5 opponent RPG overall. If Zubac’s minutes don’t push upward tonight, it’ll be tough to clear 10.5 tonight for the big man. He played just 22 minutes in the Clippers’ blowout loss to Chicago two days ago.
