The New York Knicks are set to host the neighboring Brooklyn Nets at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night, with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. If you’re looking to build out a same-game parlay (SGP) of NBA player props for the crosstown affair, DraftKings has you covered. Using the NBA Player Props Trends Tracker, we weighed averages, matchup grades, home/road splits and recent patterns to make a four-leg parlay you can tail ahead of Knicks vs. Nets.
Best Michael Porter Jr. player prop for Knicks vs. Nets
Pick: Michael Porter Jr. O 23.5 points (-119)
After failing to top 23.5 points in two of his first six games this season, Porter proceeded to clear that mark in 19 of his next 22 contests. On the season as a whole, Porter has hit the over on 23.5 points in 70% of his games. While he has finished under 23.5 points in three of his last five games, he has only scored fewer than 20 points once since December 14. There’s a solid floor there, to say nothing of the high ceiling.
Porter, who is averaging 25.7 points per game, has a B-graded matchup on his hands versus the Knicks on Wednesday. He scored 16 the last time he faced New York, but 25 the last time he took the floor at MSG. Porter has actually hit the over on Wednesday’s line in 73% of his road contests this season, including 11 of his last 12.
Best Nicolas Claxton player prop for Knicks vs. Nets
Pick: Nicolas Claxton U 7.5 rebounds (-144)
Claxton is averaging 7.6 rebounds per game, which is higher than his 7.4 mark from last season but a significant step down from his 9.9 and 9.2 boards a night in the previous two campaigns. And while DraftKings has the Knicks graded at a B matchup grade when it comes to opposing centers’ rebounding production, Claxton has recorded just four and five boards in his two outings against New York this season. Going against Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson is no joke.
Since returning from a two-game personal absence earlier this month, Claxton has gone under 7.5 rebounds in six of eight appearances. The 46% win rate on Claxton under 7.5 rebounds admittedly isn’t the most inviting, but that figure jumps to 61% when the Nets have been on the road. Claxton hasn’t topped 7.5 rebounds in any of last six road games, last hitting the over on December 23.
Best Mikal Bridges player prop for Knicks vs. Nets
Pick: Mikal Bridges O 22.5 points + rebounds + assists (-104)
A 13-PRA performance Monday against the Mavericks understandably has Knicks fans frustrated, but Bridges is still averaging 24.5 PRA on the season. He has also gone over 22.5 PRA in 60% of his appearances on the whole this year.
Per DraftKings, the Nets present Bridges with an A+ matchup when it comes to his all-around production. Although he is only 1-for-2 in clearing 22.5 PRA against Brooklyn this year, he finished with 22 and 24 in those two contests. Across the league, Bridges has gone over 22.5 PRA in 19 of his 22 chances against A- matchups or easier, with two of those unders coming at exactly 22 PRA. It won’t take much for him to take one step above that floor, especially against a vulnerable Nets squad.
Best Karl-Anthony Towns player prop for Knicks vs. Nets
Pick: Karl-Anthony Towns Double Double-Double (-221)
KAT has notched a double-double in 73% of his games this season, including 80% of his home games. He has also achieved the feat in both of his previous matchups with Brooklyn. The Nets constitute a B matchup in this market, according to DraftKings. Across his 22 games against B- matchups or easier, Towns has recorded 21 double-doubles.
