The Celtics are hosting the Pacers on Wednesday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Boston is favored by 10.5 points and this game carries a total of 222.5 points.
Let’s dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Wednesday’s matchup between the Celtics and the Pacers.
Best Celtics vs. Pacers Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Derrick White U 2.5 Made Three Pointers (+101)
Derrick White has gone cold from deep recently. The guard has failed to hit a three-pointer in two of his last three games and has only exceeded 2.5 three-pointers once in his last six. During this stretch, White is only shooting 22.7% from beyond the arc, and included in this sample is a 2-for-9 showing vs. the same Pacers team he will meet tonight.
Indiana is terrific at defending outside shooters, allowing the fewest made three-pointers per game (11.4) on the second-lowest three-point percentage this season (34.1%). Those factors certainly make this a tough spot for White to regain his shooting form.
Aaron Nesmith U 14.5 Points (-120)
Aaron Nesmith has struggled mightily as a scorer lately. In the new year, the wing is only averaging 11.9 PPG while shooting 32.1% from the field and 28.3% on three-pointers. The Celtics just held Nesmith to only six points last Monday and he has stayed under 14.5 points in 11 of his last 13 starts.
Boston ranks dead last in pace and is giving up the fifth-fewest points to small forwards this season. Nesmith clearing 14.5 points would be a surprise tonight and he is an awesome bet to stay under this elevated line.
Pascal Siakam O 3.5 Assists (-132)
Pascal Siakam is a sensational bet for over 3.5 assists tonight. The veteran dished out six assists when he faced the Celtics last Monday and has finished with at least four assists in six of his past eight outings. During this time frame, the forward is averaging 7.6 potential assists per game. The difference has been Bennedict Mathurin (thumb) missing all of these games.
Mathurin will remain out tonight. With him off the floor this season, Siakam’s assist rate rises 2.2 percentage points to 21.7% and he is averaging 4.8 assists per 36 minutes.
