An inter-conference showdown is on tap tonight in San Francisco. The Warriors (25-19, 8th in West) suffered a devastating blow last night when Jimmy Butler tore his ACL. Regardless, Golden State still has enough firepower to remain competitive. On the flip side, the Raptors (25-19, 4th in East) are looking to bolster their playoff positioning.

Golden State isn’t the only squad dealing with injury issues tonight. Toronto will be without both Jakob Poeltl (back) and Collin Murray-Boyles (thumb). That leaves an already thin frontcourt even more vulnerable than usual. Sandro Mamukelashvili is expected to take on a larger role than normal for the Raptors. It’s been a breakout campaign for the Seton Hall alum. Through 42 games, he’s averaging 10.6 points and 4.8 rebounds while producing 52/36/75 shooting splits.
Those numbers, primarily as a reserve, have been a pleasant surprise for Toronto. However, Mamukelashvili has looked slightly off from long distance recently. Over his last five appearances, the floor-stretching big has gone two-for-14 from three-point range. To make matters worse, the Warriors wield one of the NBA’s better perimeter defenses. With that being said, there’s just too much to like tonight. Equipped with a 25+ minute workload, Mamukelashvili will have ample opportunity to make his mark. In 11 of 15 games this season with at least four attempts from deep, the sharpshooter has connected on multiple three-pointers. That bodes well for his chances heading into this West Coast showdown.
Draymond Green 23+ points + rebounds + assists (-108)
With Jimmy Butler’s season over, expect to see even more of Draymond Green. Golden State’s do-it-all forward is the ultimate pest, but don’t let that overshadow his on-court production. Even at 35 years old, the four-time All-Star remains a prolific stat-stuffer. Over 36 games, he’s posted 8.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists. Now, with the aforementioned Butler injured, Green should command a larger role on offense. Draymond’s usage rate this season is at 17.1%, his highest mark since 2018.
It helps that tonight’s contest will take place against a Raptors squad missing two different centers. To make things more enticing, Toronto will also be without RJ Barrett (ankle). When Green isn’t exerting as much effort on defense, he has more energy to chip in elsewhere. The future Hall of Famer has reached 23 points + rebounds + assists in just 15 of his 36 outings so far. Still, he’s done so while serving as a clear second-fiddle to Butler and Steph Curry. I’m willing to bet this jack of all trades thrives on Tuesday.
