The league phase of the Champions League continues on Wednesday as Chelsea hosts Pafos.

This bet can be found under the “Match Parlays” tab. Chelsea currently sits in 14th place in the Champions League standings, but a win on Wednesday would see them climb at least four places. It could be more, depending on results from other games. With only two matches left in the league phase, every result is critical to get into the top eight and secure a spot in the Round of 16.
On the flip side, Pafos sit in 29th place. The top 24 spots will guarantee at least a place in the playoff round, so they are still very much alive. The team from Cyprus are only two points behind 24th position as things stand. An upset win would guarantee them moving up at least six spots in the table, and possibly more depending on other results. That would see them in at least 23rd position going into the final matchday.
That will be easier said than done, obviously, and Chelsea are huge favorites for a reason. Pafos have struggled to score goals in this season’s competition, only netting four times in six games. They have failed to score in three of those matches. Their strong point has been defensively, as they have only conceded nine times.
Chelsea have scored 13 times so far, conceding eight times. It’s not an incredible defensive record, but they are going up against the team with the second fewest goals scored so far in the competition. The Blues should win this one by a large margin and keep a clean sheet in the process in front of their home crowd.
