Miami and Indiana face off in the National Championship Game on Monday night.

CJ Daniels Anytime TD (+280)
Miami has a great receiving corps, led by freshman sensation Malachi Toney. Toney has 99 catches, over 1,000 receiving yards and ten total touchdowns on the season. He is the clear leader in that room and will demand a lot of attention from the Indiana defense. That leaves space for Keelan Marion and CJ Daniels to operate. All of these options have their own skill sets and are utilized differently by Carson Beck and the Miami offense. Despite missing a month of the season, CJ Daniels had seven receiving touchdowns on the season. He is both a deep-ball threat and a red zone option for Beck.
CJ Daniels has a big frame, strong hands and is a veteran on this team. That makes him a great go-to guy on the outside in red zone opportunities, as opposing defenses worry about Malachi Toney running across the middle of the field. Daniels has been utilized heavily in some of Miami’s biggest games this season, catching a touchdown against Notre Dame and Pittsburgh, two scores against Florida State and seven catches for 74 yards against Louisville. The Indiana defense is very aggressive and will try to jump routes to create takeaways. Daniels is the exact receiver that could pull off a double move over the top to catch one of Carson Beck’s beautiful deep balls for a score. At odds of +280, Daniels is my favorite bet to score a touchdown for Miami in the National Championship Game.
Elijah Sarratt Anytime TD (-110)
Elijah Sarratt is one of the great stories in college football. His rise to one of the nation’s best receivers mirrors the rise of this Indiana program. He started his career at the FCS level, worked his way up to James Madison, transferred to Indiana alongside Curt Cignetti and now in his senior season, he leads the nation with 15 receiving touchdowns. Omar Cooper Jr., Charlie Becker and Sarratt form an incredible receiving trio, but Sarratt remains the primary option in the red zone for Fernando Mendoza.
In the College Football Playoff, Mendoza has leaned heavily on his veteran pass catcher. Sarratt had four catches for 40 yards and a touchdown against Alabama, then topped that with seven catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns against Oregon. This Miami defense is a scary unit to face, and they have an elite pass rush. That could cause Mendoza to have to get the ball out quicker than he would like. In those situations, he should turn to his most trusted receiver to be in the right place at the right time. Sarratt has 15 touchdowns in 12 games played this season and should add at least one more to that count in the national title game.
