Update: Paul George (Injury Management) ruled out for Monday

Let’s dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Monday’s matchup between the 76ers and the Pacers.

Tyrese Maxey 30+ Points (-121)
Monday night marks the first leg of a back-to-back for the 76ers, and both Joel Embiid and Paul George — both listed as questionable — are trending towards sitting after missing shoot-around. The last time Philadelphia played two nights in a row, both players missed the first contest. That was against the Raptors last Sunday, when Tyrese Maxey erupted for 38 points.
The guard is averaging 30.3 points per game on a team-high 30.8% usage rate with Embiid and George sidelined. After torching Toronto’s top-five defense last week, Maxey gets a much easier matchup Monday night against the Pacers. Indiana ranks ninth in pace and 18th in defensive rating. It’s also allowing the third-most points to opposing point guards, setting up the recently named All-Star starter to reach 30 points.
Pascal Siakam Over 3.5 Assists (-146)
Bennedict Mathurin (thumb) will remain out tonight for the ninth game in a row. In his absence, Pascal Siakam has stepped up his playmaking, averaging 4.4 assists while appearing in seven of eight games with Mathurin sidelined.
The forward has dished out at least four assists in five of these seven matchups. With Mathurin off the floor this season, Siakam’s assist rate increases two percentage points to 21.2%. Philadelphia’s defense should be weaker than usual with both Embiid and George expected to sit, and Siakam should surpass 3.5 assists on Monday night.
Kelly Oubre Jr. Under 1.5 Made Three Pointers (-126)
While Kelly Oubre Jr. should see an increased usage rate with Embiid and George expected to hit the sidelines, the starters’ absences haven’t led to much success for the guard as an outside shooter. In six games without Embiid and George this season, Oubre is averaging just 1.6 threes per game on an ugly 28.2% clip from beyond the arc.
The Pacers are far from an appealing matchup for deep shooters. While Indiana is a fast-paced squad, it has been excellent at defending the perimeter this season. They allow the NBA’s fewest opponent threes per game on the second-lowest three-point percentage. Expect Oubre to fall below 1.5 made threes against Indiana on Monday night.
