Best Indiana Hoosiers Same Game Parlay for National Championship

The No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers take on the No. 10 Miami Hurricanes in the National Championship Game. The title game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET in Miami Gardens, Florida.

The Hoosiers are listed as 8.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total set at O/U 47.5 points. Below is my favorite same-game parlay for the Indiana Hoosiers.

Indiana Hoosiers Preview

The Indiana Hoosiers are one win away from an undefeated national title-winning season. After finding tremendous success in Curt Cignetti’s first season at Indiana, the Hoosiers have taken things to another level this season. They have passed every test, going undefeated in the regular season, beating Ohio State for the conference title and now are in the National Championship game. They might not have the raw talent on paper like some past national champions. However, the Hoosiers are clearly the best-coached team in the country. They don’t make any mistakes and capitalize on any mistakes made by their opponents.

It has been a fantastic run to the College Football Playoff for Miami, but it has a history of making costly mistakes. Head coach Mario Cristobal has done a great job in the CFP, but he has a reputation for making clock management mistakes and not controlling a game properly. Those are mistakes that Curt Cignetti will take advantage of if he makes them in this game. Additionally, Carson Beck has had major turnover problems in the past. He threw four interceptions in Miami’s loss to Louisville earlier this season. As Indiana demonstrated by returning an interception for a touchdown on the opening play against Oregon, it will punish Beck if he makes any mistakes.

Best Indiana Same Game Parlay

My favorite same-game parlay bet for the Indiana Hoosiers is for them to cover the first-half spread of -5.5 and to cover the alternate line of 13.5. If the Hoosiers jump out to an early lead, this could turn into a blowout. Miami wants to keep this as a closer, lower-scoring game. The Hurricanes want to keep a healthy run-pass balance and control the time of possession. If Indiana jumps on them early, that will force Miami into obvious passing situations. That is where Carson Beck will make mistakes and Indiana can create takeaways.

So, if Indiana leads by at least a touchdown at halftime, it should control the rest of the game and win by at least two touchdowns. There is a recent history of national title games being non-competitive. There have been seven straight National Championship games decided by double-digits. Not only have they been decided by double-digits, but a majority of them have not even been close for most of the second half. Those seven games were decided by an average of 26.7 points per game. If Miami is forced to play desperate late in the game, the Hoosiers should run away and comfortably cover the alternate spread number in this same-game parlay.

Best Same-Game Parlay Bet: Indiana -5.5 1H & Indiana -13.5 (+162)
