He’s basically the middle-of-field release valve, carrying a 19% target share with a short-area role (6.22 aDOT) that keeps drives alive when coverage tightens. If he’s compromised today on top of Nico Collins being ruled out (71 catches, 1,117 yards, six TDs), Houston loses both its top perimeter creator and its safest underneath volume. That forces the whole passing plan into thinner options and harder throws, with Christian Kirk needing to win higher-leverage downs without Collins’ gravity and Schultz’s steady conversion routes.
