The Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears were both on the brink of elimination from the NFL Playoffs just a week ago, with the former trailing by a score while the latter was down by multiple touchdowns heading into halftime. Yet somehow, both squads pulled off miracle comebacks in the final minutes to survive and advance for another game.
Now, the pair meet on Sunday evening in a Divisional Round matchup that pits two high-powered offenses against each other. On one side, Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua lead a Los Angeles attack that seemingly can’t be stopped. On the other sideline, Caleb Williams and his many playmakers look to shock the world with another standout win and get Chicago to the NFC Championship Game for the first time in 15 years.

Davante Adams first touchdown scorer (+550)
This Los Angeles offense led the NFL with 3.8 touchdowns per game during the regular season and scored TDs in the red zone at a 63.16% clip, seventh-best in the league. Just last week, the unit scored four total touchdowns with three through the air and one via the ground. Yet somehow, none of those touchdowns went to Davante Adams, whose 14 total TDs paced all non-halfbacks in the league during the regular season. He missed the final three contests of the campaign due to a hamstring issue, but came back with a massive workload of 13 targets, hauling in five for 72 yards. He looked healthy in his return to action and should remain a priority in the offense against a Bears unit that gave up 32 passing touchdowns in the regular season, fourth-most in the NFL. At +550 odds, Adams is the chalkiest pick on the board here but still remains worth a selection given the payout on these long-shot bets. Adams tied with Amon-Ra St. Brown for the most red-zone targets of any wideout with 32 on the campaign. The Rams fed their star the ball plenty in the most important part of the field as he tallied an NFL-best 14 receiving touchdowns, 12 of which came inside the 20-yard line. The even more interesting part is that Adams worked as a de-facto goal-line back, logging 16 targets inside the five. The next-closest wideout garnered just nine.
Colston Loveland first touchdown scorer (+1400)
Reactions to Chicago’s incredible comeback last weekend varied depending on who you asked, but the one common thread seemed to be how impressed people were to Colston Loveland’s performance. In his first career postseason game, the rookie tight end saw a career-best 13 targets, catching eight of those for 137 yards, another new high. The Michigan product produced on a variety of routes and seemed virtually unstoppable in the second half as Caleb Williams kept looking his way over and over, much to the chagrin of a hapless Packers secondary. It was an outing for the ages and a truly unforgettable showing given the stage and stakes, but can Loveland follow it up here? The signs point to yes. He led his team in receptions and receiving yards this season and scored all six of his touchdowns from Week 9 and onwards, also pacing the roster in red-zone targets over that span. With 10+ targets in three consecutive outings, he’s clearly becoming a focal point of Ben Johnson’s attack.
The Bears averaged 2.9 TDs per game in the regular season and scored four via the air last week against Green Bay in just the second half alone. Given the upside of this offense and that the Rams were semi-vulnerable to the pass this year, I quite like Loveland to record the first touchdown of this game at +1400 odds.
