Maye was tied for the third-most sacks taken across the NFL during the regular season, and he was sacked five times by Los Angeles last week. Houston’s pass rush is among the best, and I’m expecting Maye to be running for his life on multiple occasions.
It seems as if NFL defenses have yet to truly respect Maye’s rushing ability, and he has taken full advantage of that. Both Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter will likely be in New England’s backfield often on Sunday, but Maye is both quick and strong enough to get away from them and make plays with his legs. The Texans’ defense allowed the second-fewest rushing attempts to opposing quarterbacks, but the ninth-most rushing yards.
