Best NBA player prop bets for Sunday 1/18/26

Sunday presents a six-game slate, and below are three of my favorite NBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Sunday’s slate.

Top NBA player prop bets

Cam Thomas U 19.5 Points (-116)

After missing nearly two months with a hamstring injury, Thomas has played in nine of the last 11 for the Nets and he has been underwhelming during this stretch, averaging 16.1 PPG. Thomas has fell short of 19.5 points in seven of these nine games and he is only logging 22.3 minutes per game off the bench during this span.

Thomas hasn’t cracked the 25-minute mark in any of these games and he should remain limited Sunday vs. the Bulls, who just held Thomas to just eight points on 3-of-13 shooting this past Friday night. Michael Porter Jr. (rest) will be out for Brooklyn this time around, opening up some usage and shots for Thomas, but nonetheless, 19.5 points is too high of a line for Thomas right now and it’s hard to have faith in him topping this number. With Porter Jr. inactive a week ago vs. the Grizzlies, Thomas only scored nine points across 23 minutes off the bench while shooting 4-of-12 from the field.

Zach LaVine U 20.5 Points (-108)

Since returning from a nine-game absence due to a sprained ankle earlier this month, LaVine has seen a slightly decreased role for the Kings. During this time, the guard is handling a 22% usage rate, which is a drop from his 23.2% average for the season, which has translated into 19 PPG for LaVine.

The veteran has only exceeded 20.5 points once in these past nine and with Domantas Sabonis (knee) making his return in Sacramento’s last game, LaVine finished with 16 points vs. the Wizards with a 17% usage rate. Sabonis being back in the mix is going to slightly hurt LaVine’s role and while tonight presents a solid matchup vs. the Trail Blazers, who are playing their second game in two nights, LaVine staying under 20.5 points is likely.

Collin Murray-Boyles 21+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-116)

With RJ Barrett (ankle) and Jakob Poeltl (back) both out for the last four, Murray-Boyles has been efficient as a starter for the Raptors, averaging 12.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 35.5 minutes per game. The rookie has posted at least 23 PRA in all but one of these four and Murray-Boyles is shooting 53% from the field during this span.

Murray-Boyles should continue to see a huge workload Sunday with both Barrett and Poeltl remaining sidelined, and Murray-Boyles will see an additional boost to his role if Immanuel Quickley (questionable, back) is also out. Furthermore, Murray-Boyles is in a terrific spot vs. the Lakers, who rank 26th in defensive rating this season and are playing their second game in two nights after giving up 132 points to the Trail Blazers on Saturday. In this situation, Murray-Boyles should have no trouble reaching 21 PRA.
