UPDATE: Troy Franklin (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of Broncos vs. Bills.
Denver Broncos wide receiver Troy Franklin suffered a hamstring injury and is questionable to return to Saturday’s Divisional Round game vs. the Buffalo Bills.
When Franklin suffered the injury isn’t exactly clear. However, what is known is that he left sometime in the second quarter and is questionable to return.
Franklin did not yet have a catch in Saturday’s game, but the injury marks another significant blow to the Broncos’ receiver room.
Fellow wideout Pat Bryant, a rookie standout, was ruled out after the first drive due to a concussion. Franklin was the team’s second-leading receiver during the regular season with 65 catches for 709 yards and six touchdowns, so his absence would prove quite troublesome for a position group that’s already shorthanded against a top pass defense.
If Franklin is ruled out, Courtland Sutton would remain the lead option with Marvin Mims Jr. and Lil’Jordan Humphrey playing complimentary roles as Bo Nix’s top targets.
