The NFL’s Divisional Round kicks off on Saturday afternoon, starting with an AFC matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High.
The Bills (12–5) are coming off their first playoff road win in over three decades, a 27–24 triumph over the Jaguars in the Wild Card round. Now, they’ll face the first-seeded Broncos (14–3) — banking on a strong connection between reigning MVP Josh Allen and his pass-catchers, including fourth-year wideout Khalil Shakir.
Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. ET. Denver enters as a slight 1.5-point home favorite, while Buffalo sits at -105 on the moneyline. The game’s total is set at 45.5 points.
Ahead of the AFC Divisional Round matchup between the Bills and Broncos, here’s my favorite Khalil Shakir prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best Khalil Shakir Prop Bet for Bills vs. Broncos
Best Bet: Khalil Shakir 6+ Receptions (-134)
Buffalo’s receiving room took a beating during the regular season, yet Khalil Shakir held his spot atop the depth chart every step of the way. Playing in 16 games, he led the Bills with 72 catches on 95 targets for 719 yards, while adding four touchdowns.
The former Boise State standout took his game to the next level in Buffalo’s AFC Wild Card matchup against the Jaguars, catching all of his season-high 12 targets for 82 yards in the 27–24 victory.
But on Saturday, Shakir and the Bills will face an entirely different animal: the Broncos. Denver boasts an elite pass defense, bolstered by a historically dominant pass rush that tied for the fifth-most sacks in a single NFL season (68). The Broncos also ranked second league-wide in opposing quarterback completion rate (57.8%) and yards per pass attempt (6.1).
Still, Denver’s secondary isn’t impregnable. It ranked 13th in opponent catches and 11th in receiving yards, leaving room for playmakers like Shakir to make an impact.
With the level-headed reigning MVP, Josh Allen, looking his way, expect Shakir to remain a key part of Buffalo’s attack and haul in at least six passes in the AFC Divisional Round.
