The NFL’s Divisional Round kicks off on Saturday afternoon, starting with an AFC matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High.
The Broncos (14–3) are fresh off capturing the AFC West title, the No. 1 seed, and a first-round bye. Denver will look to avenge last season’s Wild Card loss to Josh Allen and the Bills (12–5) — leaning on a strong connection between Bo Nix and his receivers, including second-year wideout Troy Franklin.
Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. ET. Denver enters as a slight 1.5-point home favorite, while Buffalo sits at -105 on the moneyline. The game’s total is set at 45.5 points.

Troy Franklin enjoyed a breakout second season for the Broncos, establishing himself as Denver’s No. 2 receiver behind Courtland Sutton. He corralled 65 of 104 targets for 709 yards and six touchdowns, finishing second to the veteran wideout in each metric.
However, Franklin’s involvement in the passing game declined down the stretch, and he saw just 10 targets across his last three games of the season. The former Oregon standout was limited to 17 receiving yards in Week 17 against the Chiefs and closed his sophomore campaign with a donut against the Chargers in the regular-season finale.
Favorable matchups are scarce in the playoffs — and Buffalo certainly isn’t one of them. The Bills boast perhaps the most formidable defensive backfield in the NFL, one that allowed the league’s fewest catches and receiving yards during the 2025 regular season. Their secondary allowed the fourth-fewest receptions for 20 or more yards (38) and surrendered just a single catch for 40-plus yards.
Meanwhile, Buffalo’s run defense is extremely porous, giving the Broncos a clear path to victory on the ground. Denver would be wise to lean on its backfield, commanded by RJ Harvey and Bo Nix, to move the ball upfield — a strategy that could further limit opportunities for the struggling receiver.
With so many factors working against him, don’t expect Franklin to spark a turnaround against the tenacious Bills’ defense on Saturday afternoon.
