Iowa Hawkeyes vs. Indiana Hoosiers College Basketball prediction, preview
Indiana returns home in prime position to snap a two-game losing streak that spans back to when I backed it at home last Saturday against Nebraska. The Hoosiers led that one by nine points at the break, and went on to lead by as many as 16 points in the second half. Still, Nebraska was able to dominate late and get a big time road win.
The Hoosiers went on the road on Tuesday to Michigan State, where they lost handily. That all sets up a strong bounce back at home on Saturday afternoon, this time against an Iowa team with plenty of flaws. While Nebraska seems untouchable, the Hawkeyes are 0-4 in road games and 0-4 when priced as the underdog this season.
Iowa just went on the road to Purdue in its last game, and while it actually took a lead into halftime, the Hawkeyes came undone in the second half. Now on a three-game losing streak, this is a tough spot to ask Iowa to get its first road win of the season. Indiana will be hungry to snap its own streak in front of a typical Saturday afternoon crowd at Assembly Hall.
Indiana is 10-1 at home this season, with the lone loss last week to Nebraska. I think the Hoosiers come out and pour it on early, going on to win the game as well.
