The first game of today’s divisional NFL Playoff slate sees the No. 1-seeded Denver Broncos hosting the No. 6 seed, the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo is coming off a 27-24 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars on January 11 in the Wildcard round.
Here are my favorite prop bets for today’s Bills vs. Broncos matchup in the divisional round of the NFL Playoffs. The Broncos are slight -1.5-point favorites in this game with the Bills being -105 on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Josh Allen Over 254.5 Passing + Rushing Yards (-112)
Although Josh Allen has yet to break through and reach a Super Bowl, he has still been productive in the postseason. Allen totaled 306 total yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. Allen has recorded at least 255 passing and rushing yards in seven of his previous 10 contests.
Allen has recorded 255-plus total yards in 12 of his 14 career playoff games. This season, Allen has finished with 3,668 passing yards, 39 total touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Allen is facing the Denver Broncos, one of the NFL’s best defenses. Even though the Broncos allowed the second-fewest total yards to opponents, if anyone can find success against them, it is Allen.
Brandon Cooks Over 28.5 Receviing Yards (-114)
12-year NFL veteran Brandin Cooks spent time with the New Orleans Saints this season before signing with the Buffalo Bills in November. Throughout his first month with the team, Cooks wasn’t highly involved in the offense, but that has changed. In Cook’s last two games, he caught seven passes for a total of 159 yards.
Gabe Davis and Joshua Palmer recently went on injured reserve, bumping Cooks up the depth chart. Last week, Cooks received five targets from Allen, which was the second most on the Bills. Since the Bills are shorthanded at WR, Cooks will have an elevated role moving forward in the postseason. During his career, Cooks has played in two Super Bowls, among other playoff games. Cooks has totaled over 28.5 receiving yards in six of his eight playoff games.
RJ Harvey Over 13.5 Rushing Attempts (-131)
RJ Harvey took over as the Broncos’ starting RB after J.K. Dobbins was injured. Harvey has had at least 14 rushing attempts in four of his last five games. Denver has made it a priority to commit to the run in pretty much every game.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Harvey is -131 to record over 13.5 rushing attempts against the Bills. Harvey has had 15 and 14 touches on the ground in his last two contests. Even though he has been up and down recently, it is a good sign that Denver has still featured him. Also, this is a good matchup, as the Bills allowed the fifth-most rushing yards (2,315) to opposing teams in the regular season.
