Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Georgia Bulldogs NCAAM prediction, pick for Saturday 1/17/26

A top-25 SEC matchup between No. 17 Arkansas and No. 21 Georgia is taking place at 4:00 p.m. ET at the Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Georgia. This has been a one-sided matchup recently, with Arkansas winning five of the previous six meetings. The Razorbacks are 28-15 against the Bulldogs in their all-time series.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Georgia is -2.5 with Arkansas being +120 on the moneyline. Here is my best bet for today’s Georgia-Arkansas contest.

Arkansas vs. Georgia (4:00 p.m. ET)

After suffering a 12-point loss to Auburn last Saturday, Arkansas bounced back with a big 34-point win over South Carolina. The Razorbacks are 4-1 in their previous five contests but are 1-2 in true road games this season. Arkansas has an elite freshman backcourt with Darius Acuff Jr. and Meleek Thomas. Acuff averages 19.8 points, 6.3 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 41.8 on three-pointers. This season, Thomas is averaging 15.7 points but is coming off a 21-point performance.

Even though they are underdogs in this contest, Arkansas is the higher-ranked team on KenPom, ranked No. 24, while Georgia comes in at No. 32. Arkansas’s offensive rating is seventh, while Georgia’s is 22nd. Georgia has a slightly better defensive rating at No. 58, while Arkansas’s is No. 66.

Georgia only has three losses on the season, but two of them have come in the last two weeks. The Bulldogs are 1-2 in their previous three games and are coming off a 97-95 loss to Ole Miss in overtime on Wednesday. Georgia’s leading scorer, Jeremiah Wilkinson, averages 17.8 points but finished with 32 points against Ole Miss. Wilkinson has produced two 30-point performances in the previous four contests. Georgia has only three double-digit scorers, yet it still averages 96.4 points per game, the most in college basketball.

Even though Georgia has elite offensive upside, they have been inconsistent. Georgia has only scored 70 and 77 points in two of its previous three contests. Arkansas has finished with 93-plus points in five of its previous six victories. Getting Arkansas at +2.5 is an excellent value play considering they have been the better team this season.

College Basketball Pick: Arkansas +2.5 (-102)
