BREAK IT DOWN:

(stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)

Chet Holmgren 2+ Three Pointers Made (+127): This prop is an interesting one. Holmgren shot an efficient 46.2% from deep in December on 3.3 attempts per game, but he’s cooled off in January at just 23.8%. He’s also cleared 2+ threes in only three of his last few outings, which explains the plus money here. That said, this lines up as a potential get-right spot. Houston has allowed just 12 made threes over its last three games (9th fewest), but Holmgren has had success against the Rockets. Earlier this season he scored well and hit 2+ threes in the matchup, and he shot 40% from deep vs. Houston last year. It’s far from a lock, but at +127, there’s real value backing the big man to knock down a couple.

Stephen Curry 25+ Points (-196): I don’t usually chase chalk, but Steph stands out here. He’s coming off a rare dud with just seven points in 25 minutes, setting up a strong bounce-back spot against a Knicks team coming off a draining loss to the Kings on Wednesday. Prior to that outing, Curry was rolling, averaging 28.8 PPG over his previous 10 games, clearing 25+ points in nine of them and hitting 26+ in eight of his last nine. Add in the fatigue factor, and it gets even better: Curry has knocked down five or more threes in each of his last three home games against opponents playing on the second leg of a back-to-back. I expect the hot hand to reappear tonight.

Jaylen Brown 30+ Points (-108): Brown is averaging just under 30 PPG this season (6th in the league) and has remained a scoring machine in Jayson Tatum’s absence. Over his last 10 games, the Cal product is putting up 29.9 PPG and has cleared 30+ in five of those outings. He’s also been consistent in tougher matchups, scoring 25+ points in each of his last eight games against teams with a winning record. Add just five more to that number, and Brown is set to have a big night.

3-Pick Parlay

Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
