We’re rounding the corner into the NBA trade deadline, a period in which every year we hear rumors about big moves being made yet rarely actually happen. Nonetheless it’s exciting as teams showcase their talent for sale while others scope out the field to see what pieces they can acquire to round out their contention period.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Michael Porter Jr. More than 25.5 Points
One of the premier trade targets of this deadline is presumably Michael Porter Jr., who has quickly become one of the NBA’s most intriguing stories following his move to the Nets over the offseason. Porter responded to his new environment in a big way, popping off for 25.9 PPG, 7.5 RPG, and 3.4 APG, all of which are career-high marks. He’s done this while maintaining his efficiency, slashing a staggering 49.1/40/83.8. He’s proven what he can do as a primary scorer and has continued to use his world-class shooting and off-ball play to make himself a lethal offensive force.
Porter’s in a good spot tonight to continue his rampage against the Pelicans, who currently are dead-last in defensive rating in the league.
Jamal Murray More Than 25.5 Points
Jamal Murray is another player who’s enjoying a career-year, picking up some extra usage in Porter’s absence. His usage is up to a career-high 28.2%, alongside his 25.6 PPG and 7.5 APG. Murray has been a force and is locked for the first All-Star appearance of his career.
Assuming he plays tonight in the second half of Denver’s back to back, in which he scored 35 points with nine assists during the first half, he will be a threat to get More than 25.5 points, even against Dallas’ capable defense.
Zion Williamson More Than 22.5 Points
Williamson is having an average season by his standards but should get a soft matchup against the Nets tonight. He’s averaging 22.3 PPG but should be looking to bounce back after a 12 point performance in a loss to the Nuggets last night, in which he shot 5 for 12. Williamson is a freight train and has a home game tonight against Brooklyn, so this will be a good opportunity to right the ship.

Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). In each Pick Set, you cannot pick the same player twice and you must select players from at least two different teams.
Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
Sweat Your Picks
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
