Syracuse Orange vs. FSU Seminoles College Basketball prediction, preview
Florida State is simply a complete fade right now. The Seminoles are 2-8 over their last 10 games, and those wins came at home over Jacksonville and Missouri State Valley. They were favored by a combined 65 points in those two games. FSU is 0-6 away from home, including 0-3 in true road games. In those three road games, the Seminoles lost by a combined 56 points. FSU showed just how hopeless it was over the weekend, hosting NC State and losing by 44 points.
While Syracuse is nothing special on offense, it plays defense and should be able to squeeze the life out of an FSU team that’s dreadful on both sides of the ball. The Orange are capable of disaster, which we saw in a home loss to Hofstra, but overall, they’ve been strong at home. ‘Cuse is 8-2 on its home floor, the the other loss coming by just three points to Clemson.
Since the Clemson loss, the Orange have been playing very well, going on the road in the conference and beating Georgia Tech and Pitt. I think laying the points is a fine move here given how bad FSU is on the road, but Syracuse can also struggle to win with margin. I see this as a wire-to-wire win for the Orange, and DraftKings Sportsbook is offering a terrific price on the double result.
The “Halftime/Fulltime” line, which means to lead and halftime and win the game, is -125, with other shops in the -165 to -175 range. I’ll take advantage and advise making a play on fading FSU on the road once again.
