We’re back to start off the week with a six game NBA slate, tipping off with the Jazz visiting the Cavaliers at 7 PM EST following their disastrous defeat last game on Saturday at the hands of the Hornets, in which they lost by a whopping 55 points. Let’s get right into it!
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Tyrese Maxey More than 27.5 Points
The 76ers will presumably get Joel Embiid and Paul George back after their one game absence, but this shouldn’t affect Tyrese Maxey too much. Maxey’s having an incredible season thus far with 30.9 PPG and is still leading the league in minutes with 39.7. He’s proven that he can and should handle the scoring load regardless of who’s in the lineup, and while the matchup tonight isn’t an easy one, the Raptors are on the second half of a back to back, which slightly discounts the impact of an unfavorable defensive matchup for Maxey.

James Harden More Than 25.5 Points
The Beard is enjoying a vintage season with the Clippers, posting 25.6 PPG, which is a mark he hasn’t touched since 2019-2020. Kawhi Leonard is listed as Questionable tonight, and with Leonard out, Harden has put up 30.9 PPG, 8.6 APG, and 6.8 RPG in his last ten games.
Leonard’s absence will open up plenty of shots for Harden, and even if Leonard plays, the Hornets are still a below-average defense. I’m expecting Harden to continue his All-Star campaign tonight as he tries to salvage the Clippers’ season; they’re 15-23 but have gone 8-2 in their last ten.

VJ Edgecombe Less Than 14.5 Points
Even though Embiid and George’s return shouldn’t really affect Maxey’s numbers, they’ll affect Edgecombe’s. Additionally, if we factor in Kelly Oubre’s return to the lineup, it becomes tough to envision Edgecombe maintaining a consistent offensive role on this team. While it’s undeniable that Edgecombe has seriously turned heads this season with strong two-way play, it’s dubious that he’ll have the offensive opportunity to score More than 14.5 tonight.
