Does it get any better than this? NFL fans are treated to three Wild Card matchups on Sunday, kicking off with Bills vs. Jaguars at 1 p.m. EST. Josh Allen and Co. take on Trevor Lawrence and his scrappy squad in an AFC contest with plenty of stakes as the window appears wide open in this postseason.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Jacksonville is a slim 1.5-point favorite at home with -122 odds on the Moneyline. The total sits at 51.5 combined points, the highest of this Sunday slate.
Here are the top player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Bills vs. Jaguars in the AFC Wild Card.
Bills vs. Jaguars best prop bets
Travis Etienne Jr. 70+ rushing yards (+108)
There were plenty of conversations this offseason about who would work as the Jaguars’ lead running back. Fast forward to present day and the answer may have been clear all along. Travis Etienne Jr. rushed for 1,107 yards and tallied 13 total touchdowns while working in the primary role… Bhayshul Tuten merely split time with him in a secondary role while Tank Bigsby was traded away long ago. So, the playoffs are here and so is this young Jacksonville roster. In a postseason environment, leaning on top playmakers becomes even more key and Etienne finds himself positioned to potentially win this game on his own if all breaks in his favor.
He only ran for 70+ yards in eight of his 17 appearances, but the Jaguars’ RB1 boasts the ability to reach that mark on just a couple of plays and now gets the matchup of a lifetime. The Bills allowed the fifth-most rushing yards in the regular season at a clip of 5.1 YPC, the second-highest mark allowed by any team. This is a very poor run defense and everyone seems to know it. Meanwhile, Jacksonville averaged the eighth-most rush attempts per game this season under Liam Coen’s offense, setting the stage for the home team to attack via the ground. Etienne’s over on 64.5 yards looks nice, but I’d rather take that and sprinkle the alt line up to 70 as part of a ladder.
Josh Allen 2+ passing touchdowns (-101)
The game log looks pretty impressive for the most part through Josh Allen’s 13 career postseason outings, and he could very well put up another awesome stat line on Sunday. The reigning MVP has eight games of two or more passing touchdowns across those 13 appearances with 25 total passing TDs over the same span, coming up just shy of a career average of two per game. He plays truly heroic football at times and certainly knows his chance at a Super Bowl is now, especially with no Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow in the playoff field this year. There’s pressure there, yes, but Allen remains one of the best quarterbacks to ever set foot on a football field and should rise to the occasion.
The matchup with the Jaguars puts him in an advantageous position to unleash an aerial assault. Jacksonville’s defense allowed the fewest rushing yards per game of any team (85.6) during the regular season and should sell out to stop James Cook and Allen on the ground come Sunday. After all, the Bills love to run the football, so why not slow down the area of the game where they excel the most? That opens the door for the passing attack. The Jaguars allowed 218.1 passing yards per game (19th) and recorded the third-worst sack percentage of any team, meaning Allen may have additional time to work in the pocket without having to escape and use his legs. This defense ranked in the middle of the pack with 25 passing touchdowns given up, and given how tough the group is against the run, it won’t be shocking if Buffalo throws more than usual here.
