The NFL’s Wild Card Weekend continues on Sunday afternoon, starting with an AFC matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Stadium.
The Jaguars (13–4) captured the AFC South title and will attempt to make their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. But first, they’ll have to conquer the Josh Allen-led Bills (12–5) — banking on a strong connection between Trevor Lawrence and his receiving corps, including second-year wideout Brian Thomas Jr.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET. Jacksonville enters as a slight 1.5-point home favorite, while Buffalo sits as a +102 underdog. The game’s total is set at 51.5 points.
Ahead of the Wild Card matchup between the Bills and Jaguars, here’s my favorite Brian Thomas Jr. prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best Brian Thomas Jr. Prop Bet for Bills vs. Jaguars
Best Bet: Brian Thomas Jr. Under 43.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Brian Thomas Jr. failed to make a sophomore leap after his dazzling first season, in which he was named a finalist for the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The former first-rounder out of LSU caught just 48 of 91 targets for 707 yards and two touchdowns in 2025.
While Thomas dominated Jacksonville’s receiving room last year, he took more of a backseat in the offense led by first-year head coach Liam Coen. Questions also arose surrounding his chemistry with Trevor Lawrence, who favored Parker Washington down the stretch.
The 23-year-old Thomas struggled to generate yardage consistently during the regular season, and the issue will likely exacerbate against Buffalo’s shutdown secondary.
The Bills allowed the NFL’s fewest receptions and receiving yards during the regular season, also ranking inside the top ten in opponent yards per reception (10.4). They allowed just one reception for over 40 yards, the lowest mark in the league.
The Bills rarely allow star receivers to rack up yardage — let alone second options. Don’t count on Thomas to spark a turnaround against Buffalo’s imposing secondary on Sunday afternoon.
