Toronto Raptors guard/wing RJ Barrett suffered an ankle injury during Friday’s game against the Boston Celtics and will not return.

With just a few minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Barrett limped off the floor and headed to the locker room after appearing to roll his ankle. He was ruled out for the remainder of the contest shortly thereafter.

Barrett played 28 minutes, scoring 19 points with four rebounds and seven assists. He shot 6-for-15 on his field goal attempts and 3-for-5 from three-point range.

In the event Barrett misses time, the Raptors will miss his presence on the floor. He averages 19.6 points with 5.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest. While his three-point percentage of 34.5% won’t impress, his 50.0% mark from the field overall does mark the second-best of his career.

Toronto was already shorthanded heading into this contest after Scottie Barnes (knee) and Brandon Ingram (thumb) were both ruled out prior to tip-off.

Toronto holds a 23-15 record prior to the conclusion of Friday’s game vs. the Celtics.
