BREAK IT DOWN:
(stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Desmond Bane 20+ Points (-116): The former Grizzly has slotted in seamlessly with Orlando’s starting five, averaging 18.9 PPG along with 4.5 assists and rebounds per game. Known for his elite shooting touch and ability to create offense both on and off the ball, Bane brings a steady scoring floor every time he’s on the court. While he was limited to just nine points in an overtime win over the Nets last time out, he had been averaging 21.0 PPG over his previous 10 games, including two 30+ point performances. With Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs still sidelined, Bane should see an expanded role and more scoring opportunities. I’m backing him to clear 20+ points tonight, and the public is right there with me.
Ivica Zubac Points 18+ Points (+110): Zubac is coming off a strong 22-point, 11-rebound double-double against the Knicks on Wednesday and may be asked to carry that momentum into this one, especially if Kawhi Leonard (ankle) is sidelined. While not the most consistent scorer, Zubac has double-double upside on any given night, averaging 15.3 PPG and 11.0 RPG on the season while doing his damage around the rim. Recent trends lean in his favor as well, with the Clippers’ big man scoring 16+ points in 11 of his last 12 road games against teams with losing records. He now draws a matchup with a Nets team that ranks 20th in defensive rating (116.3), setting the stage for Zubac to have a night.
Tyrese Maxey 30+ Points (+110): Maxey has been playing lights out this season and shows no signs of slowing down. The Philly star is averaging 30.7 PPG — third-best in the league — and has stayed hot in his recent stretch, putting up 29.0 PPG while also being a key playmaker with 6.8 assists per game. The trends line up too: Maxey has cleared 30+ points in four of his last five road games against teams with winning records. Tonight, he draws a 21–17 Orlando Magic squad, and at this point, 30+ points is not only great value, but feels like business as usual for Maxey.
