Oklahoma City will be without several key contributors for Thursday’s contest, including its top two scorers, Chet Holmgren and reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. As a result, much of the offensive burden should fall on Jalen Williams, another foundational piece of OKC’s budding dynasty.
While the fourth-year guard is averaging just 17.2 points per game this season, he has shown the ability to amplify his production when needed. Playing the Jazz on Dec. 7 without SGA, Williams poured in 25 points on 11-for-19 shooting (58%) to lead Oklahoma City to a 30-point win. That production came alongside Holmgren, who added 25 points of his own.
Cam Spencer 3+ Threes (-144)
Despite owning a league-best defensive rating, Oklahoma City’s perimeter pressure has lagged considerably. The Thunder are allowing opponents to shoot 37.3% from beyond the arc — the worst mark in the Western Conference.
That spells trouble against Grizzlies sharpshooter Cam Spencer. The second-year guard is averaging 2.4 made threes per game this season and has buried three-plus triples in back-to-back outings, going 4-for-6 from deep against the Suns on Wednesday night.
Jock Landale 9+ Rebounds (+148)
Memphis big man Jock Landale is averaging nine rebounds over his last three games and appears well-positioned to control the glass against an understaffed Thunder frontcourt. Oklahoma City will be without its top two rebounders, Isaiah Hartenstein and Chet Holmgren.
The 6-foot-11 center has already shown he can capitalize in this matchup. Last time out against the Thunder on Dec. 22, Landale pulled down 10 boards with both Hartenstein and Holmgren sidelined.
