NBA Best Bets: Bucks vs. Lakers Prop Bets for Friday 1/9/26

Updated:

By: Cooper Albers

There’s nothing like a star-studded Friday night in Hollywood, as the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Milwaukee Bucks at Crypto.com Arena.

The Lakers (23–12, 5th West) have won four of their last six games but are aiming to bounce back from a Wednesday loss in San Antonio. They may do so without LeBron James, who’s listed as questionable for the matchup.

The Bucks (16–21, 11th East) have also won four of six since the return of Giannis Antetokounmpo, and will look to get their West Coast trip back on track after Wednesday’s loss to the Warriors.

The squads first met on Nov. 15 in Milwaukee, where the Lakers rolled to a 24-point rout.

Tipoff is set for 10:30 p.m. ET. Los Angeles enters as a 3.5-point home favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, while Milwaukee sits as a +136 underdog. The game’s total is set at 229.5 points.

Let’s dig into the top player prop bets for Friday’s matchup between the Bucks and Lakers.

Bucks vs. Lakers Best Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Luka Doncic Over 51.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-116)

While Luka Doncic never sought the Hollywood spotlight, he’s embraced it every step of the way. In his first full season with the Lakers, Doncic has averaged an NBA-leading 33.7 points with 8.8 assists and eight rebounds — good for 50.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists per game (PRA).

The five-time All-Star has topped 51.5 PRA in two of his last three games, most recently dropping a 38-point triple-double against a tenacious Spurs defense on Wednesday night. Last time out against the Bucks on Nov. 15, Doncic racked up 56 PRA — 41 points, nine rebounds, and six assists — in a dominant victory.

Giannis Antetokounmpo 35+ Points (+170)

Giannis Antetokounmpo reaffirmed his commitment to the Bucks Thursday, declaring that he’d “never” demand a trade. With the way he’s playing, the former MVP is truly walking the talk.

The nine-time All-Star is averaging 31.2 points on blistering 66% efficiency in six games since his return from a calf strain. Antetokounmpo poured in 34 points on Wednesday night against the Warriors, who own the NBA’s eighth-ranked defensive rating. A few nights prior, he went off for 37 against the Kings.

LA’s defense has been dreadful this season, and Antetokounmpo already torched the Lakers for 32 points on Nov. 15. Count on the Greek Freak to deliver the kind of performance that produces some classic JJ Redick soundbites after the game.

AJ Green 3+ Threes (-129)

Sharpshooter AJ Green has become an instrumental piece of Milwaukee’s offense, starting every game he’s played this season. The fourth-year guard is knocking down 2.9 threes per contest at an impressive 42.9% clip.

Green has drilled three or more triples in 22 games this season, including three of his last four. In his most recent outing against the Lakers — who rank eighth-worst in opponent three-point percentage — he went 5-for-10 from deep in just 25 minutes of action.
