Following a huge 12-game slate on Thursday night, the NHL returns with just a three-game slate on Friday night, with first puck drop set for 8:00 p.m. ET. The Jets hosted the Oilers last night and will be the only team operating on zero days’ rest.

Best NHL props for Friday 1/9/26
Tyler Bertuzzi Over 0.5 Points (-115)
With both Connor Bedard and Frank Nazar still sidelined with injuries, Bertuzzi and Andre Burakovsky have had to step up. The Canadian winger has notched at least one point in three of the past five games and ranks second on the team in points per 60 behind only Bedard. Chicago enters tonight’s tilt riding a four-game winning streak, while Washington has dropped three of its past four games. Bertuzzi recorded a hat-trick two games ago against the Golden Knights and could find the back of the net again tonight against a Capitals squad that is tied for the third-most goals allowed across the past 10 games.
Gabriel Vilardi 1+ Assist (+125)
Across Winnipeg’s past 10 games, Vilardi leads the club in assists per 60. On the season, he ranks third in both 5v5 assists per 60 and ice time per game. While the Jets have lost 11 straight games and sport the third-worst home record in the NHL, they still play better at the Canada Life Centre, averaging more goals and allowing fewer goals per game than when playing on the road. The Kings are one of the better goaltending teams in the league. Still, they are also undisciplined, which could lead to additional opportunities for Vilardi to record an assist on the power play. Los Angeles ranks 13th in penalty minutes taken per 60 and has allowed the sixth-most power play goals this season.
Mikhail Sergachev 3+ Shots on Goal (+210)
Stay with me now, as I am aware that betting on Sergachev shot props reeks of degeneracy. The thing is: he’s been a cash cow at home this season, clearing 3+ SOG in 10-of-18 games. While St. Louis ranks 17th in shots allowed per game, it has struggled to limit opposing defensemen, allowing the seventh-most shots per game to the position. Plus, the Blues are such a poor goaltending team that opposing defensemen chuck shots on net regularly in hopes of the puck slipping past either Jordan Binnington or Joel Hofer. Sergachev ranks first among Mammoth defensemen in both 5v5 shots per 60 and 5v5 shot attempts per 60.
