Anthony Edwards, the most expensive asset on tonight’s DraftKings DFS slate, as been added to the Timberwolves’ injury report on Thursday afternoon with right foot injury maintenance. Edwards is listed as questionable, though it’s worth noting the former first-overall pick did end up playing the last time this happened.
Edwards has already missed seven games this season, but when he’s been on the court, he’s been absolutely unbelievable. In 34.7 minutes per contest, Edwards is averaging a career-high 29.3 points while shooting 40.7% from three-point range — another career-best. If the Timberwolves can find another level in terms of their win-loss record, maybe get back within range of their 56-win 2023-24 campaign, there’s a chance that Edwards gets a serious look on some MVP ballots at the end of the year.
If Edwards were to sit out Thursday’s tilt, Julius Randle would likely be left to fill his teammate’s massive void. With Ant off the floor in 2025-26, Randle has seen his usage rate jump to 29.5% and he’s produced 29.4 points per 75 possessions.
Minnesota is currently a 1.5-point favorite on the DraftKings Sportsbook, despite Edwards’ uncertainty and the fact that the Cavaliers have won four of their past five games.
