What happened to Spencer Jones? Live injury updates for Nuggets vs. Celtics on Wednesday 1/7/26

UPDATE: Jones will qualify for Early Exit.

Nuggets forward Spencer Jones is questionable to return to Wednesday’s game against the Boston Celtics, after exiting the contest during the first quarter with left foot soreness.

He was replaced by Bruce Brown with 2:54 left in the opening period, though there was no mention of when the injury occurred.

Before exiting, Jones contributed two points and three rebounds in nine minutes of action.

Jones is a low-usage player but he’s started the last 21 games and been a solid 3-and-D player. During that span, he’s averaged 8.7 points and four rebounds per game while shooting 41.4% from deep.

If Jones is sidelined for an extended period, Brown would likely be the biggest beneficiary until Aaron Gordon is fully ramped up following his return from injury.
