James Harden Injury Update: 1/7/26 vs. the Knicks

After missing Monday’s narrow victory over the Warriors, James Harden was initially listed as questionable for tonight’s contest against the Knicks with a shoulder injury. However, it appears that the former MVP will make his return on Wednesday evening, as Harden’s been upgraded to probable.

The Clippers are finally winning some basketball games as of late, with seven victories in their past eight matchups. Unsurprisingly, Harden has been a massive part of any success that Los Angeles has had so far in 2025-26. In fact, with Harden on the floor, the Clippers are scoring 121.0 points per 100 possessions. With Harden on the bench? That offensive rating craters to 106.9. The 17-year veteran is averaging 25.7 points per game this season — his highest mark since leading the league in scoring back in 2019-2020.

All this should be enough for the 36-year-old to make his 12th All-Star appearance in February, though it’s unclear how penalized Harden will be for Los Angeles’ abysmal start. The Clippers, who are 4.5-point underdogs tonight on the DraftKings Sportsbook, are just 13-22 for the season.
