DraftKings NBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for January 7

There will be a huge 12 game slate tonight in the NBA as 24 teams will give it a go. With this much NBA action, it’s important to sift through the different lines we have available to try and find value.

The games will tip off tonight at 7 PM EST and conclude at 10 PM EST.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.

Luka Doncic Less than 33.5 Points

Doncic has been a scoring machine his entire career, but 33.5 feels a tad high for the superstar tonight against a tough San Antonio defense that’ll feature Victor Wembanyama’s return from injury. Wemby is a game changer on defense and is capable of anchoring a team’s defense by himself due to his sheer length and ability to cover most of the court. His mobility allows him to get anywhere, and his tremendous length allows him to bother any shot.

Doncic has cleared the 30 point mark in all of his last five games, and while he’s always liable to go off for huge scoring nights, tonight seems unlikely to be one of them.

Jaylen Brown More Than 31.5 Points

The extremely shorthanded Denver Nuggets will visit the overachieving Boston Celtics tonight. Brown has been tremendous in Tatum’s absence and is leading the league in FGM with 10.9. He’s averaging 29.6 points and has naturally slid into the number one option on this team to great effect. He’s elevating in a big way and should be in MVP conversations, realistically.

Brown will look to bounce back from a poor 14 point performance against the Bulls in which he shot 6/24. The game prior, he had a 50 burger in a win against the Clippers.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander More Than 31.5 Points

SGA’s MVP campaign will roll on tonight as he keeps the Thunder atop the West. In his career dating back to 2019, he’s averaged 26 PPG against the Jazz. In his last ten games, he’s scored 30 or more points in seven of them. The Jazz currently have the worst rated defense in the entire league and it seems safe to expect SGA to do most of his damage and sit out the fourth, but not before he gets 31.5.
