The NHL returns with a light five-game slate on Wednesday night, with first puck drop set for 7:00 p.m. ET. Both the Sharks and Stars played on Tuesday night and will be the only two teams operating on zero days’ rest.

Best NHL props for Wednesday 1/7/26
Dylan Guenther Anytime Goalscorer (+160)
The 22-year-old has netted five goals in the past four games and draws a juicy matchup against a Senators squad that has been plagued by poor goaltending all season. Guenther has been a 5v5 monster for the Mammoth, ranking ninth in the NHL in 5v5 goals for per 60 and 15th in 5v5 expected goals. Linus Ullmark has taken a personal leave of absence from the team. Now, Ottawa will either depend on Leevi Meriläinen, who ranks 84th out of 86th among goaltenders in goals saved above expected, or roll with Mads Sogaard, who was recalled from the AHL on Tuesday. Guenther has found the back of the net often, and he can even take advantage of Ottawa’s second-to-last-ranked penalty kill unit.
Macklin Celebrini 2+ Points (+150)
Celebrini has 13 points in his last seven road games and ranks fourth in the NHL among skaters with at least 200 minutes of ice time in 5v5 points per 60. He has just two points in two meetings against Los Angeles this season, but San Jose has been scoring at will lately, and I expect the club’s leading point-getter to be involved. Across the last 10 games, the Kings have allowed the eighth-fewest 5v5 goals against per 60, and the Sharks rank second in 5v5 goals for per 60. Each of the first two meetings resulted in a 3-4 loss for the Sharks, but Celebrini sported a combined 59% xGoals% in those games –– the puck luck gods shall be kind to us tonight.
Jordan Kyrou 3+ Shots on Goal (+105)
Kyrou has cleared this line in 15-of-33 games this season, including in 7-of-14 road games. The Blackhawks have allowed the sixth-most shots per game and have particularly struggled against opposing right wings, ranking eighth in shots allowed per game. The Canadian winger has missed this mark in his past two meetings against Chicago, but he cleared in the previous four games and ranks first on the Blues in both shots per 60 and shot attempts per 60 (25th in the NHL). Across the last five outings, Kyrou has averaged 4.0 shot attempts per game.
