UCLA Bruins vs. Wisconsin Badgers College Basketball prediction, preview
Wisconsin is coming off its first true home loss of the season over the weekend, getting pounded by a far superior Purdue team. The Badgers also dropped a semi-home game last month in Milwaukee to Villanova, which has been tremendous playing away from home. Tuesday represents a nice bounce-back spot at home against a UCLA team on the back end of a tough road trip.
The Bruins played at Iowa on Saturday, continuing their theme of struggling away from home. UCLA is a perfect 9-0 at home, but just 1-4 playing away from home, with the lone win on the west coast by a thin margin at Washington. The Bruins have also struggled in the underdog role, going 0-3 SU and 0-2-1 ATS.
I like fading these west coast teams when they have to travel a far distance for multiple games on a road trip, even against lesser talent. We saw this to a degree on Monday with Oregon falling in New Jersey to a pretty average Rutgers team. I see Wisco and UCLA as relatively even teams, but home court should play a major role in this one.
I was hoping to lay a smaller number with Wisconsin, so I haven’t bet this one, but I strongly lean to the home team. UCLA also coming off a loss to Iowa over the weekend leaves the Bruins in a desperation spot as well, but Wisco is still in the stronger spot to rebound without any travel. If you want to bypass laying the points, I see Kansas moneyline as a terrific parlay piece to pair here.
