The Pelicans are hosting the Lakers on Tuesday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Los Angeles is favored by 5.5 points and the game carries a total of 244.5 points.

Below, I dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Tuesday’s matchup between the Lakers and the Pelicans on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best Lakers vs. Pelicans Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Zion Williamson O 30.5 Points + Rebounds (-118)

Zion Williamson got held in check by the Heat and their No. 4 rated defense in his last start. He should bounce back tonight vs. the Lakers, who are a much easier matchup, ranking 26th in defensive rating this season. Before facing Miami, Williamson had scored over 30 points in three straight games and he had recorded at least 37 PR in each of these three tilts.

Logging at least 28 minutes in four of his last five, Williamson is no longer under a minutes limit and he is leading the Pelicans with a 30.2% usage rate while shooting 56% from the field. Los Angeles is giving up the seventh-most points to power forwards this season and 30.5 PR is too low of a bar for Williamson in this spot.

Marcus Smart O 3.5 Assists (-143)

Austin Reaves (calf) and Rui Hachimura (calf) will both miss their third game in a row tonight, and with them sidelined, Smart has dished out seven and four assists, both of which came against the Grizzlies. In these two starts, Smart is logging 32.7 minutes per game and he is averaging 7.0 potential assists per game.

The Pelicans rank 10th in pace and 27th in defensive rating, and Smart racking up 4+ assists in this spot is very possible.

Derik Queen U 4.5 Assists (-142)

Queen is only averaging 4.0 assists on 5.6 potential assists per game this season and Saddiq Bey (hip) being out tonight hurts Queen in the playmaking department. The big man only tallied four assists with Bey inactive this past Sunday vs. the Heat. With the wing off the floor this season, Queen’s assist rate drops 2.0 percentage points to 13.9%.

4.5 assists is just too high of a line for Queen in this situation and backing him for this under is wise.
