The 2025/26 NFL regular season has finished, and with that, the playoffs have arrived. The field in the NFC is set, and we have quite a few mouthwatering matchups to look forward to. Up next, the #6 seed 49ers travel to Philadelphia to take on the #3 seed Eagles on Wild Card Weekend.

The 49ers just needed to beat the Seahawks in Week 18 to secure the #1 seed, but couldn’t get it done as they lost 13-3. It’s a tough pill to swallow for them, dropping from #1 to #6 and now facing the defending Super Bowl champions on the road.

The Eagles could have improved to the #2 seed in the NFC with a win in Week 18, but opted to rest most of their starters instead. The defending champs will fancy their chances at home against any team in the playoffs.

These teams last faced off in the regular season in December of 2023, with San Francisco getting a commanding 42-19 win. They also famously met in the NFC Championship in the 2022/23 season, with Philadelphia winning 31-7 after a Brock Purdy injury.
