This bet can be found under the “Match Parlays” tab. Man City are red-hot at the moment and I like them to get three points in this one without conceding. They’re on an eight-game win streak in all competitions, keeping a clean sheet in four of those. One of those clean sheets came against these same Black Cats earlier in December, a 3-0 home City win. This game should be a little closer, given it’s a home game for Sunderland, but I still like the Citizens in this spot.
Man City have the second-best defensive record in the league right now, only conceding 17 times in 18 games. On the flip side, they have the best attacking record, netting 43 times already this season.
Sunderland have done well so far this season, but it hasn’t been due to their attacking prowess. They’ve only scored 20 times so far this season, with only two teams netting fewer goals. The Black Cats have been solid defensively, with only Arsenal and Man City boasting a better defensive record.
It’s good versus good on both sides of the pitch, but Man City are slightly better in both categories, and that should translate to the result. Expect the Citizens to win their ninth straight game in all competitions.
