College Football Playoff Best Bets: Player Props for Oregon vs. Texas Tech

Texas Tech takes on Oregon in the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida, in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff on Thursday afternoon.

Oregon enters as a 2.5-point favorite, with the total set at O/U 51.5 points. This is the best college football player prop bet to consider on DraftKings Sportsbook for the Oregon-Texas Tech College Football Playoff game.

Oregon vs. Texas Tech Player Props

The Oregon Ducks and Texas Tech Red Raiders are facing off in the Orange Bowl, with the tightest spread among the four quarterfinal games. It should be a great battle between a well-rounded Oregon team and the elite Texas Tech defense. The Red Raiders undoubtedly have one of the best front sevens in college football. However, they have made it the whole season without being really tested on the back end. Texas Tech’s only games against ranked teams were against Utah and its two matchups against BYU. BYU has a one-dimensional, run-heavy offense, which allowed Texas Tech to load the box and dominate them in both matchups. Dante Moore will be the best quarterback that Texas Tech has faced all season, and Oregon has by far the best weapons in the passing game that the Red Raiders have seen all season.

My favorite prop bet for this game is for Dante Moore to throw for at least 240 passing yards. Moore is a 3,000-yard passer on the season and has ended the season on a particularly strong note. He has thrown for at least 257 yards in each of his final four games, including 286 yards on the road against a great Washington defense, and 300-yard games against Minnesota and in the first round of the College Football Playoff against JMU. Oregon will likely have minimal success running into the teeth of that Texas Tech front seven. Where they can beat the Red Raiders is with their great weapons in the wide parts of the field. Moore should be able to hit a couple of deep shots down the field and allow his playmakers to pick up yards after the catch, ultimately getting him over this number for the fifth consecutive game.

Best Bet: Dante Moore 240+ Passing Yards (+102)
