Chelsea vs. Bournemouth prediction, pick for Tuesday 12/30/25

It’s a dramatic time in the Premier League. As we near the midway point of the season and the January transfer window, tensions are high. Teams are taking stock of the first half of the season and considering options to improve their current squads. Tuesday’s game between Chelsea and Bournemouth leaves the final impression on management before the transfers can begin.

Chelsea is a -175 favorite on the moneyline for this contest on DraftKings Sportsbook. Let’s dive into a preview, prediction and pick for this Chelsea vs. Bournemouth fixture.

Chelsea vs. Bournemouth Prediction, Pick

Bournemouth may be one of the busiest Premier League teams in the January window, if the reports are accurate. Sitting at 15th in the table, they’re not exactly primed to contend for hardware this season. Yet they are nine points clear of relegation at the moment, and have to feel good about their chances to stay up. The onus is on their management to keep things afloat, especially factoring in the expected changes.

The big domino reportedly falling is Antoine Semenyo’s move to Manchester City. He’d be a substantial January transfer at a reported 65 million pounds, and the move seems to be all but done.

There are also heavy rumors that center back Marcos Senesi will be departing at the end of the season. With a lot of money to spend after their recent sales and holes to fill, Bournemouth should be active in pursuing upgrades as they look to survive the second half of the season.

Chelsea will be significantly less active in this January window. Rumors flew about interest in a Semenyo deal, but with no interest on the player side, there was little traction there. They’ve spent big in the past few summer windows and will likely do so again come summer 2026. But, for now, manager Enzo Maresca won’t be receiving any new toys for Christmas.

It’s a strange time for these two clubs to meet, given their form, not just because of the January window. Bournemouth is riding a nine-game winless streak into this match, including some very frustrating losses that have left manager Andoni Iraola fuming. But Chelsea haven’t fared much better, dropping points in December after a strong start to the season. They’ll have to start picking up some wins if they hope to compete for hardware.

There are a lot of question marks here. Semenyo is slated to play, but you never know when transfer rumors are flying. Multiple starting defenders are missing between both teams. Both squads have conceded far more goals than they’d like recently. It’s tough to predict a result here, but I foresee a lot of goals in this match.

Best Bet: Over 3.5 Total Goals +125
