Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Geno Smith suffered an ankle injury during Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. He left the game in the second half and is questionable to return.
This game drew lots of attention due to the draft order consequences. The Giants and Raiders are tied for the worst record in the NFL, so whoever loses will have sole possession of the top pick. At the time of Smith’s exit, the Raiders trailed 27-10.
Regardless if Smith returns to the game, this is potentially one of his final moments as the team’s starting quarterback. He leads the NFL with interceptions, having thrown two more in today’s tank-fest.
Smith completed 20-of-28 passes for 176 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He also took three sacks for a loss of 24 yards.
