There’s nothing like some December AFC North action on a Sunday afternoon. The Pittsburgh Steelers are heading to Cleveland for a matchup with the Browns, and though it’s mostly pride on the line, that doesn’t make this matchup any less nasty. That means a fascinating player prop market.
The Steelers are -3.5 road favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, while a Browns upset is priced at +160. The game’s total is set at 34.5 points. Let’s take a look at my favorite player prop bets for Sunday’s NFL Week 17 matchup between the Steelers and the Browns.
Steelers vs. Browns Best Prop Bets
Harold Fannin Jr. Over 49.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Few things are going right for the Cleveland Browns this season, but Harold Fannin Jr. is undoubtedly a hit. The Bowling Green product’s athleticism has translated from the jump, and he’s forming strong chemistry with fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders.
Before Sanders took the starting job, Fannin Jr. drew 6.3 targets per game for an average of 4.4 receptions and 42.2 receiving yards. Since then, he’s seen 8.4 targets per game for 5.2 receptions and 55.8 yards per game. That includes his career-best game against the Tennessee Titans.
Pittsburgh’s defense has been sound, but Fannin’s volume will carry him to another solid day as he closes out one of the best rookie tight end seasons in recent memory.
Shedeur Sanders Over 14.5 Rushing Yards (-109)
Mobility in the pocket has translated for Shedeur Sanders, but few expected his running game to shine consistently on an NFL stage. So far, they’re looking awfully wrong.
After getting comfortable, Sanders has rushed for 20+ yards in three straight starts, despite a lack of designed looks. He has the wheels to pick up chunk gains, and his proclivity for playing outside the pocket has produced some opportunities. Facing a solid Steelers pass rush, Sanders will be pushed outside the pocket often, and it’ll result in respectable scrambling results.
