Sunday presents a six-game NBA slate and below are three of my favorite NBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Sunday’s slate.
Top NBA prop bet picks
Sandro Mamukelashvili O 23.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-111)
Mamukelashvili is a great bet for this over with Jakob Poeltl (back) still out. The center has missed four of the last five games for the Raptors and with him sidelined, Mamukelashvili has started and thrived with the role, averaging 27.5 PRA per game. The veteran is averaging 31.4 minutes per game and handling a 16.7% usage rate in these contests, and he has posted at least 26 PRA in all four of these starts.
While Mamukelashvili is facing a Warriors defense that ranks third in rating this season, 23.5 PRA is simply too low of a line for him with a starting role.
Jaylen Brown 30+ Points (-131)
With Jayson Tatum (Achilles) sidelined, Brown is having an incredible season, averaging 29.4 PPG on 50% shooting, both of which are career-highs. The former NBA Finals MVP ranks fourth in the NBA in usage rate (35.4%) and Brown has impressively scored at least 30 points in eight straight games. Larry Bird holds the Celtics’ all-time record for consecutive games with at least 30 points at nine and Brown absolutely has his sights set on passing Bird for this accolade.
Brown is in a plus spot tonight vs. the Trail Blazers, who rank fifth in pace and 21st in defensive rating this season, and his sensational run should continue with another effort of 30+ points.
James Harden O 26.5 Points (-104)
Harden is in a tough spot vs. the Pistons, who rank second in defensive rating this season, but the expanded workload the former MVP is going to see with Ivica Zubac (ankle) sidelined overshadows the concerns about this matchup. Zubac is averaging 15.4 PPG with a 19.8% usage rate this season and with the center sidelined for back-to-back games, Harden has scored 29 points vs. the Rockets and 34 points vs. the Trail Blazers while shooting 54.8% from the field.
Both of these were wins for the Clippers and with Zubac off the floor this season, Harden’s usage rises 3.9 percentage points to 34.9% and he is averaging 28.7 points per 36 minutes.
