Dak Prescott leads the league with 4,482 passing yards while Prescott and Bo Nix have attempted the most passes (589). Drake Maye has the highest completion percentage at 70.9% while Matthew Stafford has thrown the most touchdowns (40). Tua Tagovailoa and Geno Smith have thrown the most interceptions (15) while Smith has taken the most sacks (52). Stafford has completed the most passes over 20 yards (64) while Sam Darnold and Prescott lead the league with 12 completed passes over 40 yards. Finally, Stafford has the longest completion at 88 yards.

Here are my favorite QB/WR stacks for Week 17.

5. Tyler Shough ($5,200) & Chris Olave ($7,200), Saints at Titans

It was rough early on for Shough, as he could not crack 200 yards in each of his first two starts. The quality of defenses probably had something to do with that, as he faced the Rams and the Buccaneers. Since then, he’s exceeded 235 yards in five of six starts, culminating in 308 yards last week. After throwing at least one interception in five of six starts, Shough has been flawless the last two weeks. He’s put up at least 18 FPTS in four straight with two of those over 20 FPTS. Shough also has some rushing equity. The matchup is a good one, as the Titans have allowed the seventh-highest EPA per dropback, 25 passing touchdowns and a 67.7 completion percentage.

Olave has had a big fat Q next to his name for four straight weeks due to a back issue. He’s been able to play in all, so I’m expecting the same for this one. He leads the Saints with 145 targets and, over the last two weeks, Olave has garnered 16 and nine targets, catching 16 for 233 yards and three touchdowns. That’s translated to 20.5 and 39.8 FPTS.

4. Drake Maye ($6,800) & Stefon Diggs ($5,800), Patriots at Jets

The Patriots are massive 13.5 favorities, so volume could be an issue for Maye. That’s why he’s not higher up on the list, but he should still throw over 20 times and high-efficiency seems likely. Maye also has some rushing equity. New York has allowed the third-highest EPA per dropback with 27 passing touchdowns. The Jets defense has not intercepted a pass yet this season and the 25 sacks are tied for the second-fewest while the pressure rate is third-lowest. I’m thinking like an 18-for-24 day with 247 yards and three touchdowns with some rushing yards.

Diggs leads the Patriots with 93 targets on the season. He’s not the prototypical alpha receiver that gets fed week in and week out. Maye does spread the ball around but Diggs will pop his head out once in a while like a praire dog and garner double-digit targets and produce 20 FPTS. The range of outcomes is wide for Diggs, as he can finish with 5 FPTS or go over 20 FPTS, so keep that in mind.

3. Trevor Lawrence ($6,100) & Jakobi Meyers ($5,300), Jaguars at Colts

Is it happening? After being annointed the next Golden Boy of the NFL, Lawrence struggled for four seasons. Even the start to this campaign was meh, but over the latter part of the season, Lawrence has been god-like, putting up 47.3 and 31.2 FPTS over the last two weeks. The completion percentage still isn’t high, but he’s thrown at least two touchdowns in each of the last five games, including two games with three touchdowns and a high of five touchdowns. Lawrence also has rushing equity and the matchup is a good one, as Brock Purdy just eviscerated the Colts for five touchdowns last week. The Jaguars still have much to play for. These teams met in Week 14 and Lawrence went for 19.4 FPTS in a 36-19 victory.

Since arriving in Jacksonville, Meyers has garnered at least six targets in six of seven games, with one with 10 targets. That’s translated to double-digit FPTS in all but one contest with a high of 21.3 FPTS. In Week 14 against the Colts, Meyers received 10 targets but only pulled in four for 39 yards. He did score a touchdown, though, and rushed three times for nine yards.

2. Jacoby Brissett ($5,700) & Michael Wilson ($6,400), Cardinals at Bengals

The total is a whopping 53.5 for this one, the highest on the slate. The ownership will likely be massive, but for good reasons. Both teams have poor defenses with good quarterbacks and explosive playmakers. The fantasy goodies should rain down from the heavens like manna.

After putting up over 20 FPTS in nine straight starts, the streak was finally broken last week for Brissett, as he finished with 11.6 FPTS against Atlanta. The Falcons did an excellent job of taking away tight end Trey McBride, but I don’t expect that to be a problem in this one, as the Bengals have been the worst team at defending the tight end position. In general, the Bengals have allowed the fourth-highest EPA per dropback and the 31 passing touchdowns allowed are the third-most. The pressure rate is seventh-lowest and the 25 sacks are tied for the second-fewest.

Wilson has been a god without Marvin Harrison Jr. in the lineup, garnering 11, 16, 15 and 18 targets while putting up 16.4, 40.2, 24.8 and 36.5 FPTS. Harrison returned last week but only played 51% of the snaps, and he and Wilson only received three targets each. Harrison is questionable once again, so the range of outcomes could be wide for Wilson in this one. Even if Harrison plays, I think the matchup and potential game environment are too juicy to ignore. If Harrison is out, then Yahtzee!

1. Joe Burrow ($6,500) & Ja’Marr Chase ($8,300), Bengals vs. Cardinals

Not much needs to be said here. Burrow is awesome and Chase is awesomerererer, leading the league in targets. Burrow went for 32 FPTS last week and gets to face a Cardinals team that has allowed the ninth-highest EPA per dropback. Arizona is 29th in pressure rate and the 26 sacks are tied for the third-fewest. This game has a whopping total of 53.5, so it’s likely that it becomes a back-and-forth affair. It wouldn’t be a surprise if both Burrow and Chase put up over 30 FPTS.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
