Monday Night Football brings us a showdown between two playoff hopefuls. The Colts, led by resident grandpa Philip Rivers, are trying to stay in the mix. To do so, they’ll have to take down the San Francisco 49ers. In addition to the typical array of betting options such as player props, game totals, and plenty more, DraftKings Sportsbook is offering a King of the End Zone promotion.
During the Monday Night Football matchup tonight, $2 million in Bonus Bets will be up for grabs. Users can opt in and receive a King of the End Zone token to use on any single touchdown prop under “TD Scorer” (minimum $5 wager). Passing touchdowns do not count as King of the End Zone winners. If the player in a qualifying bet scores the longest touchdown of the day, that DraftKings Sportsbook user wins a share of the $2 million in Bonus Bets, which will be credited within 24 hours of the game’s conclusion.

UPSET AT THE FINISH!!!!
With this game close to the finish, it looked like things were safe for Demarcus Robinson bettors. But then disaster struck… or tremendous luck, if you bet on the 49ers’ D/ST.
Dee Winters’ 75-yard pick-six is far and away the longest score of this game. As a reminder, D/ST scores do count for this contest. Anyone who bet on San Francisco’s D/ST to score will be eligible to receive a payout. Talk about an underdog here. Barring a massive play at the end of the game, they’ll be crowned the winners.
Five Piece, No Sides
That’s five, count ’em, FIVE passing touchdowns for Brock Purdy. He finally went back to the well, targeting Christian McCaffrey for another score on third down.
That nine-yard score won’t change our contest, but it sure makes Purdy’s stat line look even better.
Colts Ain’t Hear No Bell
It’s still a game in Lucas Oil Stadium. After Purdy’s touchdown throw to Jennings, the Colts and 49ers traded a pair of field goals before Philip Rivers marched his team down the field once again. This time, it was Jonathan Taylor punching it in at the goal line.
That one-yard score was great for Taylor bettors and fantasy managers, but it’s not going to do much for our King of the End Zone contest. With 12 minutes left in the fourth, is there another long score waiting for us?
Purd-Fect Night
How about four scores for Brock? The Niners got the ball coming out of halftime and once again went through the Colts’ defense like a hot knife through butter. Purdy found his fourth different receiver for a touchdown, this time linking up with Jauan Jennings on third and goal.
Unfortunately for Jauan bettors, that four-yard TD isn’t going to put a dent in the King of the End Zone crown. But there’s a lot of football left to play.
Brocktober Comes Late
Make it three passing scores for Brock Purdy. The Niners retake the lead in this shootout, with San Francisco’s quarterback finding his third different teammate for a score. This time, it was the big tight end George Kittle getting into the end zone.
That 11-yarder was well short of taking the lead on our slate. But we’re not even close to halftime, and 35 points are on the board. Strap in for a long, high-scoring night.
Pierce x2
Is anyone going to get a stop tonight? After the 49ers took the lead on a CMC touchdown, Philip Rivers had another response. He walked the Colts down the field, then found Alec Pierce for another touchdown.
This time, Pierce came up short of setting the King of the End Zone mark. This score came from 16 yards out, meaning Demarcus Robinson remains on top for now. Stay tuned; the scores are coming faster than I can type.
Step Aside, Phil. It’s Brock Time
The Colts set the tone with a 20-yard score on the opening drive, and the 49ers wasted no time responding. Brock Purdy capped a six-play, 69 yard drive with a clean strike over the middle to Demarcus Robinson.
That 22-yarder puts Demarcus on top of the contest by two yards. If this keeps up, it’s going to be a busy night for me.
Indianapolis flipped the script in the worst way, fumbling the ensuing kickoff to hand the 49ers excellent field position. Purdy and the offense picked up chunk gains on a march to the end zone, capped off by a short toss over the middle to Christian McCaffrey for the score. That two-yard score won’t matter for our King of the End Zone contest, but it only assures us that we are in for a long scoring night.
Early Bird Special for Grandpa
Philip Rivers wasted no time in this game. The Colts took the kickoff and promptly marched down the field against this 49ers defense. With a free play from San Francisco’s 20-yard-line, Grandpa Phil lobbed one over the top to his deep threat, Alec Pierce.
That 20-yarder sets the tone for our King of the End Zone contest. Will Pierce’s mark stand? Or does someone else have a longer touchdown ahead of them?
