NFL Best Bets: Cowboys vs. Chargers Best Prop Bets for Week 16

The Cowboys are hosting the Chargers at AT&T Stadium on Sunday afternoon. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Dallas is a -130 favorite on the Moneyline, with the game’s total set at O/U 49.5 points.

Below, I’ll go over my favorite player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Sunday’s NFL Week 16 matchup between the Cowboys and Chargers.

Cowboys vs. Chargers Best Prop Bets

Dak Prescott 250+ Passing Yards (-115)

Prescott has cleared the 250-yard mark in 11-of-14 games this season, including all seven games played at AT&T Stadium. The Chargers present a difficult matchup for the Cowboys, as they rank second-best in dropback EPA and fourth-best in dropback success rate. I don’t think it will matter much, given the quality of Prescott’s weapons and the fact that Dallas averages over five more points per game at home. Los Angeles has had its own offensive issues, but it could still easily take advantage of a poor Dallas secondary, which should hopefully result in a back-and-forth affair highlighted by strong passing attacks.

Kimani Vidal Over 34.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

It is going to be a headache with this backfield, but Vidal has logged over 60% of the snaps in back-to-back games since Omarion Hampton made his return from injury. The second-year back has cleared this line in just 5-of-11 games this season, but he has rushed for at least 90 yards in four of those games. The Cowboys’ run defense allows 5.4 yards per carry and ranks 29th in rushing EPA. I’d expect their defense to continue to struggle on Sunday, especially against the Chargers’ running back by committee approach, which should lead to plenty of well-rested and good looks for Vidal throughout the game.
